It's time to tell big business they're dreaming!

Right now, AIG, a big business lobby, is trying to reclassify sleepover shifts as ‘breaks’. They want to hit the snooze button on your rights and working conditions.

We know that sleepover shifts are not breaks. You’re away from home and in your workplace overnight, it’s work.

But AIG want to take away your hard-earned penalty rates and force you into back-to-back shifts.

For workers like you, that would mean:

  • Sleepover shifts would no longer be paid.;
  • You would not be entitled to a proper break after sleepover shifts; and
  • A dangerous precedent for worker and client health and safety.

We can’t let this happen.

Currently, sleepover shifts CANNOT count as a break between rostered periods. And it needs to stay that way.

So, we have one message for AIG: Dream on! Hands off our sleepover pay.

Do you agree? Sign our petition, and we’ll deliver it straight to AIG’s front door.
