Restoring the Balance: Farewell Judith

In Exciting news, the ASU's Deputy Secretary Judith Wright, has been appointed Deputy President of the Fair Work Commission by the Albanese Government.

The Minister for Workplace Relations, Tony Burke, said this decision "restores balance to the Fair Work Commission to give workers an equal voice in decisions that affect them."

This is a great honour for our union and a great day for working people in Australia.

We thank Judith for her fantastic work and advocacy at the ASU. Over the past 14 years, she has become our lead legal mind, including championing the historic Equal Pay case in 2012.
