Solidarity with the Jewish community

As unionists we unequivocally condemn antisemitism in all its forms.

We stand today - and every day - in solidarity with our Jewish members, the wider Jewish community, and the Bondi community.

We express our sorrow and heartbreak at this horrific antisemitic attack that targeted people celebrating what should have been a joyous occasion on the first night of Hannukah.

Violence and hatred seek to divide us. Solidarity is the antidote to fear and division.

Our hearts go out to the families and friends of those who died last night, who are now grappling with unimaginable grief and trauma, as well as those who are still undergoing emergency treatment.

We pay tribute to the courage of our first responders, police, paramedics and health workers and others who have acted bravely and selflessly to protect the community.

We encourage you to reach out to your loved ones and support services.
