Breaking! Union won pay rise

15 June 2022

SCHADS Award rates to increase by 4.6% from 1 July

In a huge union win, today we have secured an Award Wage increase of 4.6% in the Fair Work Commission's Annual Wage Review.

This 4.6% increase applies to all workers on the SCHADS Award from 1 July 2022. Award-free employees on the minimum wage will receive a 5.2% increase.

We told the Fair Work Commission that workers deserve a fair pay rise that keeps up with cost of living, and they listened.

How much more will I be paid?

For community and disability workers, you'll be $50 better off per week.

If you’re paid on Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award it’s time to check your payslip to make sure you’ve been given your next union won pay rise.

From 1st July:

Full time workers will be at least $50.89 per week better off

Part time workers will get at least $1.33 more per hour

Casuals will get at least $1.67 more per hour

Today's decision is a win for all union members.

Let your colleagues know about this union win, and ask them to join today!

Last year we recovered over $3.5 million in unpaid wages for ASU members. The best way to ensure you're being paid correctly at work is to be a union member.

If you're on an Enterprise Agreement you cannot be paid lower than these new rates from July.

I joined because I wanted someone to be by my side, someone that would actually have my back if anything went wrong
